Sadly, at times the desperate editors of the Niagara Falls Reporter, always looking for fresh material to please our intelligent readers, have been reduced to quoting from and commenting on Niagara Falls Mayor Paul A. Dyster’s Facebook posts, treating them sometimes as low hanging comical fruit.
It is despicable on our part.
On Oct. 15 at 10:38 pm, the mayor wrote on his Facebook, “Had a great meal tonight at My Thai on Niagara Falls Boulevard. We started with Siam Rolls, then I had Roasted Duck Curry, and Becky had a Pud Puk Talay (shrimp, scallops and squid in a creamy sauce with coconut milk). Everything was great. Nothing is ‘hipper’ than Thai, and My Thai puts Niagara Falls in the conversation! Khap khun, My Thai.”
Since the mayor speaks some Thai, "Khap khun" means "thank you," along with a mix of Beatnik slang, we are pleased to add: Rea mi khwam yindi thi` naykthe?¯mntri læa p?hrrya k¯hxng k¯hea mi khwam s¯uk¯h k?b xah¯ar thi` c¯h?n th?y.
Roughly translated this means: We feel hairy that our hipster mayor, this swinging cat, and his plucked chick, dig the cool vibes at My Thai.
Besides the great food, My Thai, at 6621 Niagara Falls Blvd., serves over 40 beers including Tsing Tao, Tiger, Sam Adams and October beer.
Not that that had anything to do with the Mayor’s fine language or high praise for the place.
By the way, rea chxb Dude m?n My Thai keinp?
(We like My Thai too, dude.)
