NIAGARA FALLS – The city’s South End will burst into song Sunday (Nov. 29) as the popular Lewiston Choraleers celebrate the music of Christmas with a performance of “The Season of Love.”
The concert will begin at 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Rainbow Boulevard at Second Street and will feature an eclectic mix of traditional, contemporary, ethnic, and international holiday music.
The 50-member community chorus will be directed by Donald Shrimpton with accompaniment by pianist Lynda Williams and percussionist Pat Kuciewski. The Choraleers have been presenting seasonal concerts in Western New York since 2007 and have performed at Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church has been a neighborhood landmark since 1880. Renowned for the majestic rose window gracing the gable above its main entrance and for its lofty bell tower, it is fully handicap accessible.
Sunday’s performance is open to the public. A general admission donation of $5 is requested with children 12 and under admitted free. Church members will host a free reception after the show.
