This week, the work of sculptor Susan Geissler of Youngstown was installed as part of SculptureWalk, a noted outdoor sculpture program located in Sioux Falls, SD.
Geissler’s piece is named “Sunday With Jessie”. This work is among 55 sculptures selected for display. SculptureWalk brings together more than $1 million of art for the public to enjoy in downtown Sioux Falls.
Artists place their sculptures in the outdoor exhibit for one year. Art lovers are encouraged to vote for their favorite and The People's Choice Award winner will be purchased by the city to be put on permanent display.
Winner of more than 60 awards for her work, Geissler is affiliated with the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center in Niagara Falls, along with the National Sculpture Society, NYC (Established 1893)Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, NYC (Est. 1896) Pen & Brush Society, NYC (Est. 1894) Allied Artists of America, NYC (Est. 1914)Hudson Valley Art Association, New York (Est.1931).
