Lions Club's Plans Nature Walk to Raise Funds for Visually Impaired

The Lions Clubs of Niagara County are hosting the 26th annual Lions Journey For Sight on Saturday, September 13.

It will be held at the Royalton Ravine on Gasport Road in Gasport. Registration begins at 10 am with the walk beginning at 11 am. Food and refreshments follow the walk. A $10 donation is requested for all those 18 years and older.

The Journey will raise funds for Braille Group of Buffalo, EquiStar Therapeutic Riding Center, Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service, and Vision Beyond Sight Foundation.

Since 1989, the Journey has raised over $168,000 benefiting over 35 organizations dedicated to sight, hearing, and humanitarian assistance in the western New York area. More information may be obtained at www.lions20n.org or calling 909-1862.
