The Forvm Banquet Center at the Maple Ridge Plaza in Amherst will be the setting for a gala night of music and fashion to benefit Cradle Beach on Monday, June 16, starting at 6:30 p.m.
The occasion will also mark the 73rd birthday celebration of Gerald Ralston who in a long musical career has recorded dozens of hit records, many of them during the golden age of the 45 rpm in the 1960s and 1970s, including Lost Love, I Like That Girl, and Mariposa.
Cradle Beach has been helping poor and disabled children for the past 125 years, and it was at Cradle Beach that Ralston (aka Willy O) first learned to play the guitar under the tutelage of his counselor and music teacher Charlie Musson.
There will be a special all ages show to start the June 16th affair at the Forvm followed by performances by talented singer Tim Andrews, pianist Craig Dierlam, and Elvis impersonator Aron Bott among many others.
The featured attraction will be a reunion of The Hot Shots after 30 years, and there will also be a fashion show and an After Party as well. Tickets are $7.50 in advance and $10 at the door.
