DYSTER NEEDS TIME ON FOILs

Mayor DysterFor those who have followed the Niagara Falls Reporter’s repeated attempts to get information from the decidedly non-transparent Dyster administration, we are pleased to announce that we have received word from Nadine Wasson, Principal Clerk of the Niagara Falls City Clerk's Office. 
As her letter below indicates, the Dyster administration requires 25 days to determine if the Reporter’s  FOIL requests seeking to find out how the Dyster administration is spending the public’s money will be revealed to the public or will continue to be kept a secret. 
 

Ms. Wasson’s letter reads in full:Niagara Falls City Seal

     “From: Nadine Wasson
     “Re: FOIL Requests made by Frank Parlato


  “The City of Niagara Falls is in receipt of numerous requests from Frank Parlato pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law. Specifically, those requests include material pertaining to the court house / municipal building, NFC, Peter Kay, legal consultants, Hope VI Project, LiRo Engineers, Legends Basketball Courts, authorized personnel/ City bank accounts and documents pertaining to Kevin Cotrell and the North Star Project. 
    “No later than May 25, 2012, the City of Niagara Falls will notify you that your various requests will either be granted or denied.”

    The Reporter will announce the news one way or the other.
