Due to COVID-19 restrictions, it was announced on Saturday, August 8th, 2020, that ‘Summerfest at the Sal’ was cancelled.

This event was the number one fundraising event for the Niagara Falls Fire Department Toy Fund (NFFDTF) which provides toys at Christmas, warm winter clothing, hot meal and helps families in need. “Now more than ever they are in dire need for our help,” said City Councilman Ken Tompkins.

Instead of having ‘Summerfest at the Sal’, there will be a ‘Supercruise’ in partnership with WNY HotRods Customs and Classics to help raise money for the toy fund.

Details for the cruise on Sunday, August 23rd, 2020, are below:

The cruise will start at Sal Magglie Stadium (1201 Hyde Park Blvd., Niagara Falls NY). Participants are asked to arrive at 1pm to line up. The cruise will then start at 2pm and is expected to last one hour. The cruise will travel through Fort Niagara and Olcott. All participants will stay in their vehicles. Volunteers will go car to car for donations and a 50/50 drawing. Cars and motorcycles are welcome!!
