Niagara County SPCA is asking for the community’s help in finding the perfect person for a dog named Joey who hasn’t found a forever home in 500 days, making him the longest resident at the shelter!

Joey is 3 years old and according to staff and volunteers is very sweet and mellow. He loves treats and his toy and he’s kind of an old soul. He has the sleepiest expression on his face always and everyone thinks it’s the cutest.

Joey was given a chance at a home once and then sadly returned shortly after. He doesn’t like other dogs or cats and needs to go to a home with no small children. Joey loves to give kisses and go for walks. He’d do best in a home with someone who is willing to give Joey their all and give him time to adjust to his new surroundings. Five hundred days is way too long for any dog to be at a shelter and the SPCA is hoping the community will help spread the word to change Joey’s life for the better!

Call the shelter at 716-731-4368 ext. 301 if you’re interested in adopting Joey!
