The Niagara County Department of Health has provided an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases throughout the county. As of Sunday, April 19th, 2020, Niagara County has 274 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

These 274 cases are the result of 1,290 tests being performed. However, this limited testing does not paint an accurate picture of the total number of positive cases throughout the county. It is, in fact, much higher. Health Director Daniel Stapleton has said previously that people should operate as if the virus is “everywhere.”

The two additional reported deaths due to COVID-19 are a 73-year-old male and 75-year-old female who both suffered from underlying health conditions. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
