This photo is of star-huggers Mayor Paul Dyster and City Administrator Donna Owens and Bill Cosby in 2010, when the comedian appeared at the Seneca Niagara Casino. The picture is proudly posted on the city’s website (http://www.niagarafallsusa.org/Gallery.cfm). In light of the recent scandals concerning Cosby, will Dyster take the photo down? |

Famous, legendary, and extremely wealthy comedian Bill Cosby and Mayor Paul Dyster share at least one thing in common:
digital photographic space on the city's own website.
Cosby, affectionately known as "America's Dad" due to his incredibly successful starring role as physician Heathcliffe Huxtable on the long-running Cosby Show from two decades ago, posed backstage with Mayor Dyster and city administrator Donna Owens during an appearance at the Seneca Niagara Casino on Aug. 4, 2010.
Dyster presented a mayor's proclamation to Mr. Cosby that had been specially prepared for the comedian who, like the mayor, holds a Ph D.
Both the mayor and city administrator are well-known celebrity hounds and they have taken, in the past, every opportunity to meet, greet and spend time with famous folks from the entertainment world.
Dyster and Owens rather famously spent a large amount of time with comedian-actor-musician Dan Aykroyd as the Canadian born entertainer promoted his Skull vodka at Supermarket Liquors here in town on Sept. 4, 2011
At the time a source that attended the Aykroyd appearance informed us that they were amazed at how Ms. Owens attempted to dominate the Aykroyd appearance as she decided who was to approach the comedian and who was to be moved quickly along so as not to intrude upon Dyster's time with the performer.
Yes, records show that Dan Aykroyd, like Cosby, received a specially prepared Dyster proclamation.
While rumors have circulated in Hollywood for years as to Cosby possibly drugging and attacking women, the matter has recently exploded across the front pages of major newspapers with more than a dozen women coming forward to accuse the star of raping or assaulting them.
One accuser, at the time of the alleged assault, was 15 years old.
In response to the blitz of bad press Cosby's syndicated shows have been removed from the airways and cable TV, and refunds have been offered by the entertainer to ticket holders to his recent performances.
With both supporters and detractors lining up on opposing sides the smart money says that it will be a long time before the issue and the accusations are either proven or put to bed.
In the meantime we're waiting to see if Mayor Paul Dyster, a legendary star-hugger, will delete the photo of Donna Owens and himself posing with "the Cos" from the city's website.
