OCT 29, 2015

North Tonawanda, NY, The Erie-Niagara Sunrise Exchange Club announced their members are sponsoring a Fundraising Rally to benefit homeless Veterans this Veterans Day, November 11th.

The event begins at 7 pm at Stephen Sikora Post 1322, 950 Payne Avenue, North Tonawanda. The Sunrise Exchange Club will be providing free food and a cash bar will be available. There is no admission for the event, but there will be plenty of ways to donate money to their cause, including: a Basket Raffle, a 50-50 Raffle, a Lottery Hat – PLUS two special raffles:

  • · A Cake made out of 200 $1 bills
  • · 2  Southwest Airline tickets to anywhere in the U.S. that Southwest flies to.

“Veterans matter and we take care of our own,” said John Lukasik, the retired Commander of Sikora Post who still serves as Chaplain and as a member of the Exchange Club. “One in four homeless people in the U.S. are veterans. I hope people come out on Veterans Day and help us house a homeless vet.”
