Tonawanda, NY-- On Wednesday, June 17, at 2:00 pm, replicas of Columbus's the 'Pinta' and the 'Nina', will arrive in Tonawanda.
The ships will be docked at 280 Michigan St, until their departure early Wednesday morning, June 24th.
The ships open to the general public Thursday, June 18th.
The replica Nina was built by hand and without the use of power tools and is said to be the most historically correct Columbus replica ever built.
The 'Pinta' was built in Brazil and is a larger version of the actual caravel.
While in port, the general public is invited to visit the ships for a walk-aboard, self-guided tour.
Admission is $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors, $6.00 for students 5 - 16. Children 4 and under are free. The ships are open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
