The Riviera Theatre and Performing Arts Center in North Tonawanda has invited Chaplin expert and movement artist Dan Kamin to present Funny Bones: The Comedy of Charlie Chaplin at The Riviera Theatre on Wednesday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10.
Kamin trained Robert Downey Jr. for his Oscar-nominated performance in Chaplin and created Johnny Depp’s comedy moves for Benny and Joon. Kamin played the wooden Indian that came to life in "Creepshow 2" and created Martian movement for Tim Burton's "Mars Attacks!"
Kamin performs his comedy shows in theatres, with symphony orchestras worldwide, and is author of two books on Chaplin, Charlie Chaplin's One-Man Show, and The Comedy of Charlie Chaplin: Artistry in Motion
Kamin toured recently in Cleveland, Atlanta, Montreal, Shanghai, Singapore and Malaysia.
In his upcoming show, Kamin explores Chaplin’s comic world through film clips, live performance, and the screening of a restored version of The Pawnshop, Chaplin's short 1916 film. The film will be accompanied live by Ivan Docenko on the Wurlitzer organ. For more info: Riviera Theatre box office: (716) 692-2413 or Online: www.RivieraTheatre.org
