Alleged Tucker Sex Victim Wants Lie Detector Test to Prove Allegations

June 10, 2014

Terri Kropp wants people to know the truth.
Ex Mayor Michael Tucker denies affair took place.

The Lockport woman who accused former Lockport Mayor Michael Tucker of using his position to coerce her into acts of lewd and disgusting sexual degradation says she wants to take a lie detector test in order to prove her allegations to the world.

Terri Kropp came forward with her allegations last month after reading an article in the Niagara Falls Reporter about Tucker's sudden resignation and the possibility that sexual hanky-panky was behind his leaving office. A lie detector test, she said, would settle the issue once and for all.

The former Terri Rose, a lifelong area resident, worked as a Lockport City Police crossing guard from 2005 to 2007. She alleges that Tucker, a friend of her late husband Frank Rose, coerced her into having sex with him several times and then threatened her with job termination if she said anything about it, allegations that Tucker denies.?

On Monday, Kropp called the Reporter offices expressing her desire to take a lie detector test.

"After the article came out people started bashing me on Facebook, calling me a liar," she said. "I want to prove once and for all that I am telling the truth."

Kropp said she contacted several companies concerning taking the test. She was told that administering a lie detector test would cost $600, money she just doesn't have.

Kropp said Michael Martin, a court certified polygraph expert, will administer the test.

Tucker called the paper after the original article appeared and said he had a tape recording of Kropp admitting her entire story of his lewd and lascivious behavior was a fabrication, made up originally to hurt Tucker's chances of re-election in 2011. He refused to make the tape available, however.

For her part, Kropp said her story is as true today as it was back in 2005-2007, when it occurred.

"I'm not the bad guy here," she said. "Tucker used his position as mayor to coerce me into having sex with him in order for me to keep my job. I didn't do anything wrong, and I'd like to have the chance to prove it."

Readers interested in donating to Kropp's quest to take a lie detector test may send a check to Terri Kropp, PO Box 1403, Lockport, N. Y. 14095. All donations will be acknowledged.

Kropp said as a condition of accepting donations she will make the entire test results available to the Niagara Falls Reporter.

Polygraph expert Michael Martin will perform test.
