A prominent cardiologist will join a local business executive in chairing the 22nd  annual Niagara Cup Classic, the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Foundation announced today.

Alan Meholick, M.D., and Douglas Mooradian will chair the annual fundraiser for the medical center on Tuesday, June 4, at the Niagara Falls Country Club. The morning flight will tee off with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. with the afternoon flight hitting the links at 12:30 p.m.

Dr. Meholick, who is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology, is an invasive and clinical cardiologist with Buffalo Heart Group, LLP., and a clinical assistant professor of medicine at SUNY Buffalo.

Mr. Mooradian, who returns for a fourth year as tournament co-chair, is the director of marketing and public relations for Health Systems Services, providers of home medical equipment and the developers of customized injury prevention programs for health care workers in long-term and acute care settings.

Since the inaugural tournament in 1992, the Niagara Cup has raised more than $1 million for medical equipment and health care programs at Memorial Medical Center. The tournament is presented by the Medical Center Foundation.

Money raised at this year's tournament will support healthcare programming at the hospital, particularly cardiac and stroke services.
