Two letters: Death in the Rainbow City and bread and circuses

Dear Editor

Two weeks ago, a 16 year old boy chokes a five year old girl, dumps her in a trash can and it makes national news.
A woman's torso was found in the Niagara river several days ago and the bag of body parts on Hyde Park appear to more of her remains.

Makes national news.

In June, a woman was found dead near 19th Street lying on the sidewalk. Cops haven't a clue on it.

April, a nude dead woman was found lying in the grass near her motel apartment by her boyfriend. Cops said it didn't look suspicious.

Bad vibes, bad karma or whatever for a small town...a small town with an absolutely lousy detective bureau.

Is government supposed to entertain the governed?

Rome fell. Rome had it's Circus Maximus to entertain it's citizens, at the Colosium with lions and gladiators. Dyster has his, spending taxpayer $'s on Hard Rock and other crazy entertainment for the stupid citizens. Is government supposed to entertain the governed?
