‘Sick of you Seneca bitchin’ and other letters to the editor

Seneca bitchin’?

I read the Niagara Falls Reporter and is sick of all of you bitchin about the Seneca Nations. You say they owe the city money. Your city needs the money and bla bla bla.
Well just think what happened to them. They owned this land way before you all came.
They were screwed out of their land by Lewis and Clark now they are fighting back and you don’t like it? Well tough sh-t. You gave them 51 acre. GAVE! It was theirs before hand so they would drop the law suit of Grand Island. I really wished they did fight for Grand Island and then you will have seen a better place then all the drug addicts and sellers that you have in the Falls.
If you want, you may write this in your newspaper. I bet a lot of people feel the same way.
Stop writing negative things about our native people.
May God bless you each and every day though life.

Seneca Solution?

A possible solution to the financial advantages that the Seneca "Nation" enjoys would be to make the Senecas/Tuscaroras/Cherokees, etc decide of which "Nation" they wish to be a citizen. If they opt to be
Seneca/Tuscarora, etc, they will lose all rights of US citizens. If they wish to travel from the Seneca "Nation", Tuscarora "Nation", etc, to the US, they must present proper documentation just as US citizens do when venturing to another country. See the regulations at CBP.gov covering foreign nationals. All of their business entities would be required to comply with US laws regarding foreign businesses doing business within the US

Small time fool

You are serving your purpose. You keep the SNI in the free publicity network everytime you write so you are doing a fine job. Just remember us Seneca Nation members recieve what you make in a year just in annuities. So you keep up the good work and we will do the same. Maybe some day you will make big boy money writing for a bigboy paper. For now you will still have to go to your shitty job writing for a shitty paper that people read for gossip. Not repratable news. Good evening to you and yours.

Sick to my stomach

Mr. Parlato – after reading your article, I didn’t know whether to be mad at your or to feel sorry for you! You seem to be misguided in your American History, or shall I say NATIVE AMERICAN HISTORY! Whether you like it or not, Christopher Columbus only discovered that he was lost! Your article made me sick to my stomach! I have always thought that the SNI should uphold its end of the compact agreement with NYS & pay, because I have always believed that two wrongs never make anything right! But after reading your article in black & white, I am totally disgusted and now my feelings are that you, and anyone else who jumps on your bandwagon can kiss my native backside! I personally don’t feel that we are “owed” anything, but for the love of all things sacred…..WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO COME INTO MY HOUSE & SAY THAT IT NOW BELONGS TO YOU? You and all that you represent are nothing but bullies! If someone moved you out of your home and took your land from you, how would you feel? Wouldn’t you be a little pissed off too? That is exactly what happened to our ancestors. And here we are now, still fighting and the sad thing is….we really were here first! So with all due respect Mr. Parlato, get over yourself and learn to live with us, or go the heck back where you came from! From what I see on the internet, you are not even originally from the Niagara Falls area…..did you just come here to get a piece of the pie and couldn’t, and now your just a bitter old man? I guess it really does suck to be you!

Too much publicity

Hello! I sent an email a few weeks back offering to help your Niagara aquarium.
You published it under the title “Not Every Developer Needs Handouts”
AND IT BEGAN “Rather than the typical cost of $300 to $500 per sq foot, I have been able to create (aquariums) at less than $170 per square foot, and could certainly do the same for the aquarium there.”
My email had my cell phone, which was then published on your website. I am getting an inordinate spike of calls and wonder if you could take off my phone number from that posting. Thank you!
Brent Andersen
(Yes it is true our website gets a lot of visitors. We will take your phone number down right away.
Sorry Brent.)

Agree on Clarence Bradley

I have to say I totally agree on the article for the spending of the City of Niagara Falls. Political favors have to stop.
Knowing that we have not received Casino funds they continued to spend buying new vehicles and giving appointed officials large increases in Salary. I think if you look at all departments heads at the online budget you will see large increases in salary over the last several years. These are appointed positions not subject to Union negotiations. Shame on our council and officials for allowing large raises when we have not received funds for years.
Maybe we should have the state come in to clean up our fiscal mess.

Disagree on Bradley

Mr. Parlato,
As a relatively new resident back to Niagara Falls, I find your weekly "rag" entertaining. However from what I have read about the Bradley case is one sided and I find inaccurate!...
Let this go, you are beating a dead horse with this story. There are far more interesting stories and crimes to report on, especially since it is an election year.
For the sake of the citizens of Niagara Falls PLEASE move on!
