The rat’s tail: Niagara Falls

Governor Andrew Cuomo wants New York State gaming available for Americans in New York – that is not only to lose money as patrons but also for the quaint idea that Americans should have the same legal rights to operate gaming facilities as a Seneca.

The Senecas are withholding payments. They owe Niagara Falls more than $60 million.

Who knows? In order to broker a deal, the governor may forgive Seneca’s past bill and impose a black out on the Western New York for American-owned casinos.

Niagara Falls is perhaps the only place where the people are so feeble minded they would give up 50 acres of their downtown and allow a Sovereign nation to compete against them tax free, and where a sovereign nation has a business edge over their own people.

Just imagine if they tried to create a 50 acre tax free nation in Manhattan or Albany or any place where the people have an ounce of intelligence.

Imagine, if the State pulled 50 acres out of downtown New York City and said-”Here you go- Seneca, you can operate gaming and open businesses tax free to compete directly against long standing businesses in New York.”
