Niagara SPCA Looking for event sponsors for Zombie Fest

The Niagara County SPCA, which has adopted a no-kill policy in the wake of the recent scandal at the shelter, is still looking for sponsors for its first annual Zombie Fest on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 2 to 11 p.m. on the facility’s grounds at 2100 Lockport Road.

The fund-raising event will feature hay rides, spooky treats, hot cider, a pet costume contest, and much, much more including vendors and a chili cook-off contest by local fireman.

Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor for this important event can get details by calling the SPCA at 731-4368 or by checking out the website at www.niagaraspca.org and find out about the many animals at the shelter that are available for adoption and desperately looking for loving homes.

The SPCA needs all the support it can get from the local community to make the Zombie Fest a success and help maintain its no-kill policy as it recovers from the scandal that hurt donations, the most important source of money for the facility. Sponsors include Citizens Bank, First Niagara Bank, Mackenzie's Automotive, Marylou & Darrell Borowiak, Carol & Gary Bluestein, Paul Aswad, Wedge Liquors and Players Sports Bar.
