Witryol better choice for Senate

By Bill Rutland

Amy Hope Witryol is the underdog in her race against State Sen. George Maziarz.

In a region with so many Hazardous Waste sites, we need a leader in the NYS Senate to fight for our safety. That Leader is Amy Hope-Witryol. She worked for years to stop the expansion of a Toxic Waste landfill in Niagara County, and learned that money & politics lead to decisions not in the public interest.
As reported on October 9, The Environmental Advocates of New York scored George Maziarz as having one of the worst voting records among State Legislators in the region. These scores are for actions on Bills most critical for our Environmental Health. He did not support even the Child Safe Products Act, protecting children from exposure to certain dangerous chemicals. You can look this up at www.eplvotersguide.org.
In our backyards, we have: Love Canal, LOOW Site, Simonds Steel, 18 mile Creek, Gulf Creek, etc…, this region needs a Leader that will have a better record in voting to protect us from the damage of these Environmental Disasters. Amy Hope-Witryol is that leader. She will work hard for us in Albany in taking the Money out of Politics, which she considers to be the biggest obstacle to keeping the public safe, lowering tax rates, and creating jobs.
On Election Day, vote Amy Hope-Witryol for Senator in the 62nd District, she is just the leader we need in Albany to represent the interests of the people of this region. She will continue to work hard to protect our region from further Toxic contamination, and lead this region to the prosperity it is capable of.
