Community spirit: Russ Quarantello, business manager of Local #237, and his members volunteered their time to light up Schoellkopf Park to help bring holiday cheer to the neighborhood.

People who live and work in downtown Niagara Falls have had their spirits lifted in a big way this month by the beautiful lights at Schoellkopf Park and along 10th Street in front of Memorial Medical Center.

This stunning holiday display does more than brighten our entire neighborhood. It provides a special treat for the residents of our Schoellkopf Health Center, who can reflect on the meaning of the season while gazing out their bedroom windows or enjoying dinner in the dining rooms that overlook the historic park.

We are grateful to Business Manager Russell Quarantello and the other members of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 237 who volunteered their time and talents to decorate the park and the area around our hospital’s 10th Street entrance.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has recently completed several capital projects, including a surgical unit expansion. Other projects, such as the renovation of a medical/ surgical unit on the second floor of our Schoellkopf Building, are under way. We areproud to have the electrical work for these important projects performed by members of IBEW Local 237. Not only do they do quality work – they are good neighbors who consistently display their willingness to give back to our community.
