VOTE FOR ME

By Jamie Duckworth

The Hyde Park Golf course costs city taxpayers about $300,000 per year. Golf is a specialized interest.

The city pays around $175,000 per year for hockey players to play at the Ice Pavilion, another specialized interest.
I want the city to subsidize my specialized interest too: Polo.

I can't keep horses, so I want to vote to make my neighbors pay for my horses, so I can play polo. I have to pay taxes so they can play golf and hockey, so it is only fair.

My wife wants subsidized shopping. If it is subsidized, she can buy more of what she wants.

We all vote to make our neighbors pay for what we want for ourselves.

Let’s face it, if I have to pay for my own polo ponies, I will do without, but if I can vote for you to pay, I call that a real solid gain.
